1. Description:

Flat lifting socket provide simple lifting and transporting for many kinds of precast concrete units, particularly when casting into thin concrete slabs. Flat Plate Anchors are available in both high grade zinc plated carbon steel and stainless steel with Rd threads.

3. Feature & Application

Flat Lifting Socket are ideal for large, thin precast concrete components such as slabs and shells, on which it is hard to place normal lifting sockets because of the thinness of the component, additional reinforcement must be used to transmit the load into the concrete. Its necessary to install special reinforcement to transmit the force, as well as a surface area reinforcement mesh. To guarantee the transmittance into the concrete, certain edge distance must be observed, also, the panel thickness must not fall short of a certain minimum size because of possible corrosion.

4. Installations

All installation instructions of Flat Lifting Socket are based on safety factors of two times the axial load rating at a strength of 15N/mm2 at the time of first lift. All products are rigorously tested, inspected and are supplied with safe working instructions where applicable. Flat Plate Anchors can be used in conjunction with Plastic Nailing Plates or Magnetic Holding Plates to provide a recess that can be made good on site. Plastic Stopper Caps are available to protect threads from weathering.
